Three Way Builders was contacted directly to provide a solution for Bothwell Cheese’s cold storage need. After years of shipping cheese to Winnipeg for cold storage, Bothwell Cheese now has their own storage building in New Bothwell. This 8,400 sq. ft. building includes a large scale cooler system, a 2,250 sq. ft. loading dock, with an office and two shipping and receiving areas. The shipping and receiving area includes in-floor heat that is recovered from the cooler compressors. The project also has high efficiency lighting.

Three Way Builders was thrilled with the prospect of being part of this fantastic project!

Description:

When Three Way Builders was invited to interview for the construction management position for the renovation of this historic building, they were thrilled with the prospect of being part of this fantastic project!  What a project it turned out to be!  This historic building was restored to the original on the exterior while at the same time creating an accessible building and renovating the entire interior.  Some of the challenges included lowering an existing floor by 4-5 feet to make the building accessible while maintaining the structural integrity of the building.  This required major shoring of the structure and installing new steel posts and beams at various locations.  A good part of the original metal ceiling tiles were retained with the addition of some new pieces created to match the existing ones.  The final result of this building is well worth seeing and it will be a showcase for the MICEC for years to come!

Grunthal Menno Home:

Description:

When Three Way Builders was retained as the construction manager for the Grunthal Menno Home it was kind of a homecoming for Len Neufeld, president of TWB.  Having lived less than a block away for several years during his early childhood he remembers riding bike in the neighborhood and even now has family members living in the community.  This assisted living project features a central courtyard that is sure to be enjoyed by the residents and visitors.  The community worked hard to raise funds locally in order to make this project a success and it is one of the projects funded by both the Provincial and Federal Governments.  It’s proximity to the existing PCH makes it a perfect “ageing in place” facility.

Motel 6:

Description:

In May of 2011, a new Motel 6  opened on the TransCanada Highway in Headingly. Three Way Builders was pleased to be part of the team that opened up a whole new option for travellers going to and from Winnipeg. The 70 unit motel features a swimming pool that attracts families coming for events in the nearby John Blumberg Sports Complex and the newly constructed MTS Multiplex. This new Motel 6 features the brand new corporate image and should attract more businesses and travellers to the area.

WS Machining & Fabrication Inc.:

WS Machining & Fabrication

Description:

Just six years after relocating to a new 44,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility on the Life Sciences Parkway in Steinbach, WS Machining and Fabrication added another 15,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. At the time  of  this addition, Three Way Builders relationship with WS had spanned 12 years and this was the fourth expansion! Some special features in this new area are a 20 Ton and 10 Ton crane, shot blast booth and a paint booth for handling large projects. Three Way Builders is proud that they were chosen as the design/build contractor for this building and is looking forward to the next phase as WS continues to grow its business in Manitoba and beyond.
