Mennonite Brethern Church
These elevations views, developed by MMP Architects, show what the completed building will look like from the East and South (insert) sides. The addition will be constructed with a cast in place concrete basement, a precast main floor, and a combination of wood and metal framing for the Christian Education spaces. The gym is concrete block and the exterior is clad with stucco and brick to compliment the existing sanctuary and foyer.

Description:

The church had been planning for several years to replace their old sanctuary, which was no longer being used efficiently, with a new Christian Education Building. Early in 2004, the plans were finalized and in April one of the oldest church structures in Steinbach was demolished. The new facility incorporates 20 new classrooms, assembly spaces for Christian Education and Youth Programs, a gymnasium, as well as a large, impressive library. The new addition also includes offices for pastoral and clerical staff.
