In spring of 2011, a new Motel 6 will open on the TransCanada Highway in Headingly.  Three Way Builders is pleased to be part of the team that is opening up a whole new option for travellers going to and from Winnipeg.  The 70 unit motel will feature a swimming pool that will attract families coming for events in the nearby John Blumberg Sports Complex and the newly constructed MTS Multiplex.  This new Motel 6 will feature the brand new corporate image and should attract more businesses and travellers to the area.

The fabulous new facility will replace the existing aging building.

After completing the Design/Build project at the North Centennial Recreation Centre on Sinclair Street, TWB was successful in the Construction Management tender for the Sturgeon Heights Community Centre on Rita Street.

This fabulous new facility will replace the existing aging building on this site and provide a great gathering place for the local community.

Construction is underway and we are looking forward to a successful project that will provide a great recreational and gathering space for many years to come.

North Centennial Pool Addition:

Description:

Three Way Builders is working with Bridgman Collaborative Architecture on this design/build project for the City of Winnipeg. The project includes an 18,000 sqft addition to provide space for a new gym, classrooms, kitchens, and a fitness centre. Additionally, the scope of work also includes renovating the existing shower and washroom areas and installing a sprinkler system in the entire facility.

To attain the LEED Silver Certification in environmental design, this building will incorporate numerous “green” features including 8,000 sqft of green roof areas and a large solar wall system.

White Bear Arena Renovation:

New exterior pre-finished cladding was applied to all walls and roof surfaces, resulting in a structure which literally "looks like new."

Description:

This renovation of the existing arena in White Bear, Saskatchewan involved several distinct challenges. The main structure’s laminated wood roof trusses were structurally sound, but all of the joists between them needed to be replaced. The worn wooden bleachers needed repairs and painting, and although the in-floor cooling pipes were serviceable, the ice plant needed reconditioning.

We began by gutting the public viewing areas, then completely rebuilt the arena with new framing, block-work, electrical and mechanical fixtures and new finishes. Finally, we installed new exterior pre-finished cladding on the entire building. The end result is a first-rate arena at a fraction of what a new arena would have cost.
